Save the Date – SyntaxCon 2017 is May 18 & 19

We’re pretty excited to announce the 2nd year of the annual Syntax Code & Craft Convention. For 2017, the event will be hosted on May 18 & 19, and we will return to the College of Charleston North Campus, at 3800 Paramount Drive in North Charleston.

More than 40 Focused Sessions!

The event will focus on fostering ongoing education among the developer community and will provide language-agnostic sessions and talks across 3 main tracks:

  • Front-End Development
  • Back-End Development
  • Platforms (game development, content management systems, cloud-hosted services and infrastructure, mobile development, and more).

30+ Speakers

SyntaxCon promises high-quality content from developers who are in the trenches and can tell you what works! Our 2017 call for speakers will open on October 1, 2016.

Thanks to our 2016 Sponsors & Partners

It goes without saying, but we need to make note of it. Putting together a compelling schedule and an impressive event takes work. We wouldn’t have been able to successfully host the first year without the support of the following organizations:

  • BlueKey, Inc – a fine digital agency that provides strategy, design, and development for web and mobile.
  • Jericho, Inc – works like a virtual business partner, collaborating with entrepreneurs to build strong companies and communities.
  • Tito – is simple, powerful event software designed to provide a stress-free experience for organizers and attendees.
  • Digital Ocean – simple cloud computing, built for developers.
  • Intrigue Design & Events – a full service destination event company, offering services from the east coast to the west and cities in between.
  • JetBrains – makes professional software development a more productive and enjoyable experience.
  • Silicon Harbor Magazine – a digital magazine highlighting tech, startups, entrepreneurs & creatives in Charleston, South Carolina
  • Sticker Mule – is the fastest and easiest way to buy custom stickers.

About the Event

SyntaxCon brings together over thirty-six talented developers from around the country who will share road-tested insights.

The 2017 schedule provides content across 4 main tracks, each with a specific focus:

  • Front-End Development
  • Back-End Development
  • Platforms (cloud-hosted services, gaming, content management systems, mobile etc.)

Attendees can customize their personal agenda by choosing sessions with an aim to improve their craft, fulfill goals, and learn cutting edge trends and best practices in a relatively short time.
