New York based Pavan Podila, currently functions as the Director of Technology at Sapient. He has a computer science background, heavy in image processing and compilers; and brings to the table over 15 years experience building high performance front-end applications. His proficiencies include UI design/architecture, visualizations and agile development.
Pavan acknowledges a keen interest in product development, concept exploration, prototype building and advanced visualization. That said, Pavan is passionate about sharing his expertise, and actively gives back to the developer community by training and mentoring front-end engineers. Pavan conducts internal workshops at Sapient, and regularly speaks at meetups and conferences. Additionally, he maintains a blog; is a published author; writes articles and creates videos courses at Tuts+; and is the creator of QuickLens a Mac App for UI Designers/Developers.
In his free time, you can often find him indulging in a game of Ping Pong, or sketching on his iPad Pro.

This Spring, Pavan Podila will elaborate on The State of State-Management in React during his session for Syntax Code & Craft Conference – Coastal South Carolina’s premier programmer’s code gathering. SyntaxCon brings together developers, both established and new, to learn, discuss ideas, collaborate, network and socialize in an inclusive and welcoming experience for all.
This year’s schedule provides content across 3 main tracks, each with a specific focus:

- Platforms (content management systems, cloud-hosted services, mobile applications and infrastructure.
Attendees can customize their personal agenda by choosing sessions with an aim to improve their craft, fulfill goals, and learn cutting edge trends and best practices in a relatively short time.
