Nick Shepherd, Tech Lead at Booz Allen Hamilton, has over a decade of software development under his belt, and extensive experience in the industry. With proficiency in multiple programming languages, Nick spends most of his time in the Java stack, and enjoys designing and developing software architecture.

Nick spent his college years at the University of South Carolina – Columbia and remains an avid fan of the Gamecocks. When he’s not at a computer you can find him fiddling with his electric guitar, playing pool, and spending time with his wife, three children, and the family dog.

This Spring, Nick Shepherd will share about “How I Learnt to Stop Worrying and Love Like Automated Testing” during his session for Syntax Code & Craft Conference – Coastal South Carolina’s premier programmer’s code gathering.   SyntaxCon brings together developers, both established and new, to learn, discuss ideas, collaborate, network and socialize in an inclusive and welcoming experience for all.

This year’s schedule provides content across 3 main tracks, each with a specific focus:

  • Front-End Development
  • Back-End Development
  • Platforms (content management systems, cloud-hosted services, mobile applications and infrastructure.

Attendees can customize their personal agenda by choosing sessions with an aim to improve their craft, fulfill goals, and learn cutting edge trends and best practices in a relatively short time.
